How to Adjust Pricing

How to Adjust Pricing

Setting up Tariffs: Define tariffs for public EV charging, customizing rates for different user groups.

How to Create and Manage Tariffs:
- Create Tariff Groups and assign individual tariffs to them
- Set specific pricing for user groups (e.g., employees, public users)
- Attach tariffs to EVSE ports. Pricing for public EV charging customers is controlled in the CSMS via Tariffs and Tariff Groups.

A Tariff group is used to contain all the tariffs that will apply to the selected EVSE ports, based on the user type. Please note that while you are able to create new Tariffs and Tariff Groups, only a Future Energy Network Admin can switch the Tariff Group associated with your stations.

On the left side, scroll down to the “Product Offerings” section and click “Tariff groups”

Click “Create Tariff Group”

A Base Tariff with free charging is automatically created when a Tariff Group is. This can be edited, and as many different tariffs as needed can also be created. Tariffs should be created in a hierarchy within the tariff group, with the bottommost tariff considered first.

To see the Base Tariff, On the left side, click on “Tariffs” and then the created Base tariff.

To create a new Tariff, Click “Create Tariff”

Under the General Tab, the Tariff Name and Description can be entered. This is the information that will show up in the app.

Under Pricing, different pricing types can be selected and customized. Future Energy recommends the Duration + Energy type tariffs for public charging.

Each Tariff can be customized for specific user groups. For example, a public EV driver would be charged $0.50 per kwh, while preferred customers could be charged $0.35. Employees could be allowed to activate charging sessions for free, to allow for charging business vehicles.

Under Restrictions, the Users and User Groups are selected which the tariff should be applied to.

Under Stop Session, a max duration, kWh can be set, that once reached, will automatically stop the charging session.

Once all desired Tariffs are created, they must be attached to your Tariff Group.

Select the Tariff Group you wish to add the Tariff to, and Click “Attach Tariff”.
