Future Energy Core - Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Common Questions:
- How do I access my Dashboard for the first time? After your charging stations are shipped, Future Energy will contact you to confirm your admin account details. Once the dashboard is set up, the admin login information will be sent. Use this information to access the dashboard and manage your charging stations.

- Why are my stations not active? Your stations will appear on the dashboard as inactive until they are installed, connected, and the Activation form is submitted by your installer and approved by Future Energy. For Level 3 DCFC stations, a commissioning appointment must be scheduled with your installer.

- How do I invite users to access private charge points? You can invite users by creating a User Group (e.g., Employees or Customers) under the “EV Drivers” section. Then, use the “Invites” option to send an email invitation for users to access your private stations.

- Can I set different pricing for different users? Yes, you can create different tariffs for different user groups. For example, employees can be charged a lower rate or receive free charging. Create the necessary tariffs under the “Product Offerings” section and assign them to user groups.

- How do I create and manage RFID cards for my users? Under “EV Drivers” in the dashboard, select “ID Tags” and create new RFID cards. These tags can be assigned to users, allowing them to activate charge sessions. Ensure the status of the RFID tag is enabled to activate it.

- What should I do if my station is showing an error or connectivity loss? Under the “Operations & Maintenance” section, check for error messages or connectivity loss details. You can troubleshoot based on the listed issues or contact Future Energy support for assistance.

- How do I manage revenue reports for public charging? You can access revenue and expense reports by navigating to the “Billing” section of the dashboard. Here, you can view detailed reports related to public charging sessions and overall earnings.

- Can I customize my pricing for public EV charging? Yes, you can create specific tariff groups and assign different tariffs to public charge points. This allows you to customize pricing based on user groups, such as offering lower rates for members or higher rates for public drivers.

- What do I do if I forget my admin login password? If you forget your password, use the “Forgot Password” option on the login screen to reset it. You will receive a password reset email to your registered admin email address.

- How can I get support if I encounter issues with my dashboard? You can reach out to Future Energy support directly by emailing support@futureenergy.com or by Phone 586.782.4000.

- How do I schedule dashboard training for my team? For CME Core clients, a 30-minute dashboard training session is available after activation. CME PRO clients will receive ongoing training. An introductory call with Client Success is scheduled after activation for PRO clients.

- What is the difference between a Tariff Group and individual tariffs? A Tariff Group is a container for multiple tariffs, allowing you to manage pricing for various user groups. Each Tariff Group can be applied to specific EVSE ports, and the tariffs within it determine the charges based on the user's group.
