Canadian Wallbox Commissioning – FAQ

Canadian Wallbox Commissioning – FAQ

Q: Why is the commissioning process different in Canada?
A: In Canada, Wallbox requires an on-site technician to verify and certify the installation before the charger becomes operational. This differs from the self-commissioning process used in the U.S.

Q: Who should the dealership contact for commissioning?
A: Dealerships must call the Free2Move eSolutions Help Desk at (833) 322-4274.

Q: Can the standard U.S. commissioning form be used?
A: No. Wallbox requires a separate form specifically for Canadian installations.

Q: What information should the dealership have ready when calling?
A: They should be ready to confirm:

  • Whether a vehicle is available on site for testing

  • Whether the dealership plans to use the credit card reader

Q: What is the process after the call?
A:

  1. The Help Desk will email the required form and instructions.

  2. The dealership completes the form and submits photos of the installation.

  3. The documentation is reviewed and sent to Wallbox.

  4. Wallbox schedules a technician to visit the site and perform the certification.

Q: Can the charger be used before certification?
A: No. The charger will not function until a Wallbox technician has certified the installation.

Q: Who can the dealership contact for assistance with this process?
A:the Free2Move eSolutions Help Desk at (833) 322-4274
