Introduction to Interface
What is Interface?
Interface is an energy management platform for businesses with EV chargers. Part of the Future Energy Connected Management Network, Interface utilizes energy usage data from both chargers and facility to provide energy management and insights. The Diagram below illustrates the Future Energy CM Network.
Charger energy usage data is pulled from the charger's CSMS (Charge Station Management System) while building energy usage is obtained via the Edge hardware device. This data is combined in Interface to provide a insights into EV charger operations, energy usage, and costs.
What is a CSMS?
A Charge Station Management System is utilized by a charger manufacturer or network operator to manage EV chargers. This is often referred to as the chargers cloud network. This is only applicable for stations connected to the internet, typically via cellular. It enables access policies for public and private, session and revenue tracking, and station health information.
